Thanks Steve and Dave,

I think the crux of it is catching it very very early, and that means not being the big he-man, but getting regular checks, for anything like this. This catches it very early and might even result in one having not to have what Steve went through.

Thanks again Steve and Dave, best of luck in the future.

Hi Steve, Dave,

Good to hear you are both well after the illness.

I turned sixty last August and my birthday present from the NHS was the Poo Test kit, which I duly completed and returned in the post it came back all clear. It takes a couple of minutes of your time but I believe well worth doing, so if you are due it or had it and not returned it get it done quickly and get it back for testing.

Its not a problem after all we all talk shit most of the time anyway!!

Hi Mac,
Yes mate, that's how I found out myself. Passed my first one, but two years later I showed positive, so it's well worth taking the trouble to mess around with the kit. Saw the surgeon last Friday. If I hadn't picked up on this, he said life span would have been between two and five years.

Dave.

Mine was completely different. I kept getting a lot of acid reflux, a bit like bad indigestion , a couple or three times a week. My GP advised going for the some tests and the rest is history, just like 12 inches of my colon. Anything out of the ordinary get it checked at the earliest chance. Life is too fragile to mess about. ATB.
