Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with sadness that we report the death in a civilian aircraft accident of Michael Green (20 Dec 42 – 17 Nov 17), a veteran of the Army Air Corps. Michael was instructing a student when the helicopter they were flying in collided with a light aircraft. Both aircraft were operating out of Wycombe airstrip, also known as Booker airfield on 17 Nov 17 when the accident happened at about midday.
Michael was awarded his wings in Jul 66 whilst serving with the 14/20th Kings Hussars. In Jul 69 he transferred to the Army Air Corps, where he qualified as a QHI in Jan 71 and retired in 1979.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues at this very difficult time.
Kind Regards
Vic
