Brian (Dutch) Holland RIP

Gentlemen I have some really sad news to pass on to you all.


My old friend, Brian (Dutch) Holland and the friend of so many who served alongside him sadly passed away on Saturday 3rd September at 17.00hrs.

I have been asked to pass on his funeral details which are as follows:
21st September @ 12:45 hrs
Carlton Crematorium
Stocks Road

A wake will be held at 14:00hrs at the working mens club at

Knott End on Sea
Salisbury Avenue
Knott End On Sea
Poulton Le Fylde

RIP my friend, you will always be remembered by so many. I will raise a glass to you at all the reunions I am fortunate to attend with your friends alongside me.

We regret to inform you of the death of Brian Anthony (Dutch) Holland, who passed away suddenly on Saturday 3rd September 2016, aged 56.

A service will be held on Wednesday 21st September 2016 at 12:45hrs at Carleton Crematorium, Stocks Lane, Blackpool, FY6 7QS. All are welcome to attend.

Family flowers only please. Donations in Brian’s memory will go to The King’s Royal Hussars Welfare Fund. A collection will be taken at the service, or donations may be sent via the Funeral Director, Moons Funeral Service, Sandy Lane, Preesall, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 0NU.

A reception will be held after the service at Knott End Working Men’s Club, Salisbury Avenue, Knott End on Sea, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 0BP.

Brian is survived by his partner, Brenda and children Sarah and Mark. Their address, should you wish to write, is Brenda Byrne, 87 Park Lane, Preesall, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 0EP.

The family plan to inter Brian’s ashes into the Regimental Columbarium in Barton, on Sunday 13th November 2016.

What's going on up on the west coast ?
My cousin Mark, same age, just streets away also died suddenly in the same week.
Far too young, a great loss, both of you !

Odd how place names, which bring back so many fond memories, the roots of my mothers side of the family and dear friends and relations, now have a cloud hanging over them :( .

Sorry to hear such sad news,have many memories of serving with Dutch.
We had interesting times in 90/91 in 4th Troop B Sqn with the RSDGs.
