Ladies and Gentlemen
I have been asked to pass on the very sad news of the passing of one of our own. Phil Baldwin passed away today, 18 Feb 2016 at 19.20hrs. Our thoughts and prayers go to Mick and John and the rest of Phils family.
On a personal note, Phil was just there to guide me, help me and advise me whenever I wanted it. He was there waiting for me every year at Noah's ARC when I went for the first time and we spoke for ages and still giving me the most sounds and honest advice. Phil, thank you for everything and may you rest in peace my friend.

Was a member of my troop in HK. Phil always provided an element of humour, no matter in what sort of situations we found ourselves. On this forum he was a constant and intelligent contributor.
Although I knew he wasn't well, this has still come as a great shock. He will be sorely missed.
RIP old friend.

R.I.P. You will be sorely missed from Noah's Arc. I cant remember ever having met you in the Regiment though you must have followed me as Clothing Store-man in Benghazi. I enjoyed tremendously knowing you on this site. You were a stalwart, with a prodigious memory of all things Regimental.
Condolences to all your loved ones and Rest in Peace. Farewell.

Another great Hawk gone, Sam and I both sad to hear about this. Phil was one of the first to welcome Colin Clayton and I to the Regt in 1973, he led us (17 year olds) astray that night! But he looked out for us too. A great friend, always helpfull to me throughout my time in the Regt. He was always at Noahs Arc reunions and its going to be hard for us all not to see him sat ready, to say hello to everybody. There's a huge space in our ranks now and we are all going to miss him for millions of reasons. RIP Phil.

Another great man, and Hawk, taken too soon, I will miss our late night/early morning internet chats, while you looked after the security at Superdrug.
