I lived in the same room as sticky in 1st Troop B Sqn when I first joined the Regiment I remember the first thing we used to hear each morning was sound of Sticky opening a bottle of Amstel.I believe he got the name Sticky from going round the Naafi when he was skint saying "stick us down for one of those sarnies, pies" or whatever he could get.He was definitely a memorable character. R.I.P Mick.
My condolences to his family

May I just add my condolences to Micks family, I knew Mick in Paderborn, had many a chat with him when he frequented the B Squadron Bar which I ran at the time, as Solly said he was a Jekyl & Hyde Character, lovely chap when sober, but unpredictable when the demon drink was on him, he will be sadly missed. REgards to all my old friends on here.

To all members and famliy.
Dont you think it would a good idea to post a reply with regard to members that become sick and have to be in hospital. I have lost three good friends because no one knew these friends were in hospital. Not very to die alone without your mates to say goodby. So please let the Hawks know before the inevitable happens.

Larry Hamblin asked me to convey his condolences to Mick's family. We had a good chat earlier and Larry got into dragging up some memories of Mick, especially when he was woken up one night on an exercise to find that it wasn't raining in the 160 lb tent, but Mick relieving himself over all those asleep. That was Mick !!

R.I.P Uncle Michael,
