I Remember Sticky telling Gillian Duxbury all about what she should do with her life life when she visited us in Andersonstown in 1978.
He was very direct and I think she was a bit taken aback.
I recall him telling me that he intended to become a postman on leaving the army.
A 'proper' character.

RIP

RIP Sticky, you were certainly a character of remembrance.
When you were my driver i often had to use a good strong chain to keep you in check, and know where you were. Sadly in later days you seem to become very anti establishment, however if it ever came to a firm Hawk supporter, you were always in the front row.
Peace to you

On holiday and only just picked up the sad news. Knew Sticky almost from the day he arrived in the regiment, in fact it was me who turned Micky Stowell into Sticky Mole during one session of high jinks in the tank park. A good bloke to have around although he did have his moments. I will miss him and no doubt a lot of others wil to.
RIP Sticky
