Unfortunatly, due to circumstances beyond my control, i can't make Les's funeral today, however he will be in my thoughts and i'll certainly be raising a glass to him tonight. Sleep tight mate, RIP.

Only recently came across this - hence a very late response. Les was my landrover driver (and, needless to say a very good friend) when I was B Squadron Leader in Hohne. I could not have wished for a nicer and more efficient friend and companion. Pity Les wasn't a whisky drinker but he always had one ready for me when I jumped off my tank at the end of the day! Followed by Stan the Man (Pete) I was a very lucky guy with both of them.

RIP Les. Ian

I remember Les, he always had a smile on his face. Good lad, too soon, sad loss.
