Six Nations 2013

Post by Mac McNulty » Thu Jan 31, 2013 3:45 pm

Hi Fellas,

How about making this year's 6 Nations as interesting as last years with a Prediction of the correct finishing positions; The loser puts twenty quid into the Noahs Arc pot.

Point for every team in the correct predicted position plus a bonus 2 points if you have predicted the winning Nation.

Based on the final results and on points difference if any teams are in a tied position.

If we here have a tied result for the loser those tied put a ten spot in the kitty.

The book closes at 14:20 Saturday 2 Feb 13. You must agree to take part before the above time and date. Must be three or more Takers!

My Prediction is:

1st England
2nd France
3rd Ireland
4th Italy !!
5th Scotland
6th Wales

Cheers & Good Luck

Mac

Good weekend of Rugby,

If I could change my prediction I would put France a couple of places down, they were dire against Italy although Italy played well and it looks like they finally have a Kicker who can kick.

Wales need to pick up and Scotland I cannot see them winning a game.

England will get the Grand Slam pretty solid in all departments.

Cheers

Seems I was right about France they were dreadful, Italy were still in bed dreaming about last week's win and made Scotland look good.

England never looked liked getting beat although they tried to beat themselves on a couple of occassions.

Cheers

I guess the rain (which never stopped) turned it into a kicking game. Fortunately for England the Ireland players had the slippier fingers!

Hi Phil,

Well done to all.

Local Rugby Clubs put a lot into the local community, I played for a couple whilst I was in the Army: Salford RUFC & Chobham Chindits RUFC and then North Manchester RUFC for a while after I left. Apart from the obvious i.e. giving a number of people the opportunity to watch and play rugby they were always fund raising for some local project.

And of course giving the student Doctors and Nurses practice with their stitching late on a Saturday afternoon!!

So I am glad to hear your Son's club got the recognision it no doubt deserved.

Cheers

Mac
