World Champions

Well BUGGER ME,

England turn up one against the odds and not a penalty shoot out in sight.

Fat Frank (give him another mars bar) almost fell over at his herculean attempts to get up field and in a state of extreme exhaustion manages to get his napper on a rebound off the post.

SENSATIONAL

The place went wild, the Spanish went absent and victory was ours..

Not pretty not gung ho and not what we could call the traditional English way, but I would take that every time in a major competition, if we won some thing

Sir Cappello on the books maybe

HUSSAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trev,
Not sure the Spanish were playing at 100% and giving the ball straight back to them for most of the game not a great plan. Still, it's in the books as a win.
Darren Bent, James Milner,Glen Johnson, Nah.

hI keith

didn't say it was stellar, but as you grasped a win is a win,

and we have Rooney, Welbeck, Thornley, and the big Donkey at Liverpool (Carol or what ever ere name is)to come

Point is when we play controlled football we are capable of beating anybody

might not be pretty

but I'll have that in the big competitions.

Any way how ya keeping bud

Watched it at Guys Hamlet as the pre reunion drinking session got underway.
Darren Bent is not, never has been and never will be international standard.
Still, nice to see Torres performing like the pervial clown that he is !!
And respect to the scousers on off loading him for 50mill, canny bit of business that !
Then it's Trooper this, an Trooper that

Just to put the game in perspective Spain have lost 4 of their last 5 friendly's, however they won all their group qualifying games and have only lost 2 competitive games in the last 5 years. 8) 8) 8)

Al.

I look forward to your comments on a former England captain (Terry Butcher) being inducted into the Scottish hall of fame    the lengths you skirt wearing jocks will go to just for a bit of press headlines. Also congratulations on your fine victory over that football giant of a nation Cyprus.

Wow

Banockburn, Cullodan !!!!!!!!!!!

I thought they were singing about Mc Dougalls Flour an Advertising jingle,

wasn't it written in 1960 something by a semi successful folk singer Something Ewan McALL (Kirsty McCall was is daughter)

being so recent like three fucking hundred years after the event I didn't make the connection.

Shocked and Awed
