So were Costa Rica at Italia90, Peru at Argentina78 and didn't Iran get a draw with them at the same World Cup ?
And i'll try not to mention the draw with the Faroes a few years back, Euro qualifiers 2004 i believe ???
As the Costa Rican commentator declared on his national TV service, "William Wallace, Alex Salmon, Robert the Bruce, Rod Stewart, James the 1st, Mary Queen of Scots, Flora McDonald, Kenny Dogleash, Doctor Findley, The Red McGregor, Billy Connolly, our boys gave you one hell of a beating !!"
Then it's Trooper this, an Trooper that
And Trooper how's yer soul?
But it's "Hawks are bloody 'ero's"
When the tanks began to roll!

Mr Keller,

I am beginning to think history and national identity are not your strongest points, what with Jerusalem and the Swedish commentator who mentioned that Margearet Thatcher took a Hell of A beating when they dicked you.
are you sure you are not Welsh :?: :?: :?: :?:

do you honestly think any one from Costa Rica would know Doctor Findlay :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
and Rod Stewart for all his going on, is not and never will be a Jock, he was born in Landan, someone else who doesn,t know his identity.

Paul / Al
I feel I must correct you both at this point it was Dr Finlay not Findlay now this may not be importent to you but Janet(aka Margret Meldrew) would be most upset.

Mr Simper sir !
It was Norway, not Sweden !!!!
And perhaps as far as Rod Stewarts concerned you and he should swop places ????
As for being Welsh ???
That was way below the belt !!! (Nothing personal Mr Rees sir !!!)
Then it's Trooper this, an Trooper that
And Trooper how's yer soul?
But it's "Hawks are bloody 'ero's"

And before i forget, i still maintain that Jerusalem is no different to "Weed of Scotland !"
I say weed, seeing as Bonnie Prince Charmless, beat a hasty retreat to Frogland ! (bit like yourself i suppose ??)
