When Digger Sharp visited Hong Kong, he attended a Squadron do in the NAAFI, music probably by Steve Beavers, Brad, and Dave Dukes band, or even Bill Hutton's disco (my memory is failing), and the following conversation took place in the Gents between Craftsman McLean and Digger:

Mclean "What's yer name?"

Digger: "Sharp"

Mclean " No, I meant what's your first name?

Digger: " RSM!!"

A good man, Digger. My best memory of him is his sympathy and support in Paderborn when I learned of the sudden death of my father.
