Recently had a phone call from messers Cornish and Higgins.
Cannot say how overjoyed I was to receive both of them, Only possible through this amazing site. Thank you both for ringing and I hope I didnt bore you too much fellas.
I will be attending the next reunion at Blackpool and am currently screening my partners for someone suitable, I wish
and look forward to meeting some old pals as well as being able to preach about the old days to the nigs, lol. As I explained in the phone conversations am not too good with faces but you have all probable aged a lot more than me, so who cares. Once more great site thanks to all concerned speak soon.

I've just read Al beveridges post about Mick Herbert and Joe Cotton........the lad who ran off with a 9mm round in his arm was Stuart Aspinall, nickname of "RASP".I met up with him 10 years ago,he was a fireman in Bolton looking forward to retirement.
Tony, I remember you from Herford, mainly as Powerful Pierre! also remember LJ Thackwell and Bob Broe and (RIP) Phil Murphy.......that's a lot of years gone by!!

Hi Dunc, I think your wrong about the lad with the 9mm in his arm, while we where cleaning up the blood from Joe and Les he came running down the hill. His name or nickname was Harry and he had only been with the regiment a couple of months if I remember. Trouble is I can't remember his surname, (age).

Hi Duncan, Algy

Like you Duncan I thought it was Stuart Aspinall involved with the shooting. But not 100% but it would be good to get the names.

Cheers

Mac
