Health Update 21st October.
Visited Poole today to see Consultant/Surgeon who after a chat handed me over to a Dr Davis and the Ecology Team. Yes the cells near my voice box look cancerous, and the recommendation is to go ahead with Radiology, an appointment will be made for me in the next few days to arrange a "plan of Action" personalised to my needs. The programme will last 4 weeks , the first two basic the second two more intense and the throat will become tender and sore. They will endeavour to get my treatment started asap, and hope to be finished within four weeks of starting.

The treatment does carry a small risk, but only about 5%. But that could take up to 10 years to manifest itself. So at my age i do not see that as a problem.

I will update you all as and when i have new info.
Thank you all for your love and support.
Bill.xx xx

Hi Bill
Build it and they will come.

Grève de la harpe et de rejoindre le chœur;

Rire, quaffing, tous ensemble,

Bill
.....back in 2009-10 I had a problem with my neck-throat.....after tests/scans etc it turned out to be thyroid cancer .....the consultant was very positive because my age and as the treatment etc was producing good results...in other words you don't have have to make your will out now.....so I went into the system....2 operations......radiation therapy .....more scans ....more blood tests .....friday just (24th Oct) had another scan/blood test with this going on for 5 years they ( Doctors-Radioligist ) told there is nothing there that shouldn't be there ......so on Nov 5th the consultant may sign me off to only annual checks only .
. Bill we have an advantage over younger people ,at the start back in 2009 the consultant said that he would give me 20-25 years .........so far so good......I will see you at Blackpool in May 15.............sit back and let the medics do their job
regards Bob Riley
