Your own 14/20H Flag ...

A very interesting collection of photos from Kevin & Mandy Whittaker: http://www.1420h.org.uk/Gallery/cpg15x/ ... p?album=36
Mandy and I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Berlin. Visiting old haunts from border patrols in the late 60's with Harry Best..nice to visit places which were once behind the wall so I have been 'flying the flag' in various locations for inclusion on the forum. This one is at the preserved DDR Watch Tower at Berenstrasse where they demolished a church to build this monstrosity at the time. Others to follow.

Re: Your own 14/20H Flag ...
John Loines reported in the thread 'Storm Warning' that his flag had taken a battering, ours too !
Luckily we still have some stock of the Regimental Flag and lots of other flags & Windsocks at:
flagsandthings@gmx.de just send us an e-mail with details of your requirements, details etc. by return.
Why it should be that this flag survived is anybody's guess ...

The 'White Dragon & George Cross windsock' well battered.

Hawk in tatters.

Lived just down the road in Stubin Platz 1960.Bill Bentley wrote:Gentlemen ... and those of you that I know better,
this is where you can post a picture of your own 14/20H flag flying in places of interest.
i.e. The Berlin Olympic Stadium:
PS. You can still order flags from Bob via Noah's Arc - online shop or directly from myself per e-mail from flagsandthings@gmx.de atb Bill

I'm betting that you mean 'Steuben Platz' which is an amazing coincidence as we were just out visiting in Schaumberger Allee, just a few yards away ... how small the world is !

Your right Bill, from memory ,the flat was above a cinema, and there was a parade of shops opposite?Bill Bentley wrote:I'm betting that you mean 'Steuben Platz' which is an amazing coincidence as we were just out visiting in Schaumberger Allee, just a few yards away ... how small the world is !

Bill,
I didn't take much notice of the area as it was dark and it really was a coincidence because we are very rarely in that area; we live some 30 odd km westwards. However, it might just be that we shall again pass that way as we have just sold them a house, if we do, I'll look for your cinema and take some photo's if I find it
All the very best to you Bill, Bill (There he goes talking to himself again

Re: Your own 14/20H Flag ...
We've had some great locations but maybe this latest one takes the biscuit
This is from Arnie & Brenda Greenwood who are sailing the seas around Freemantle and, with the Captains permission, the flag is riding high. Well done the pair of you.

Thanks Bob for posting this great picture.
So Arnie, you and Bren got away as planned, have a great time. Do send us some more details of the cruise when you get back to reality. It's better to have done it and miss it afterwards than never to have done it at all !
