What a place to get the 100th contribution to this topic from ... almost 'the Top of the World', well done Alfie Smith and (daughter ? ... correction, thanks Paul:) wife. Did you get to see the 'Northern Lights' ? I very much wanted to get up that way in my kayak but some dreams will just have to remain no more than that.

With the exception of the most stupid joke ever and three football subjects ... (thanks for that correction Phil) this is now the 4th most visited topic on the Noah's ARC site.
Well done everyone ... keep 'em coming !!!

Phil,

I was once, just once, guided onto the football site and have never been there since. It's a subject about which I know less than nothing, I can't even, never could, kick a ball in a straight line let alone around curves etc. So you will no doubt be right and I have corrected my post accordingly. Thanks for the prod !

Paul,

trust it to be you, another guy with a partner who looks young enough to be ones own daughter, who put me right on that one. I was careful enough to put a '?' behind my first comment. All I can say is that you and Alfie are very lucky guys !

My old man advised me to: "find a woman who is fat and ugly: then you will never have problems with your mates, a warm blanket in winter and shadow in summer". Of course I didn't listen to the silly old fart ! I too have a cracker who does her best to keep me young at heart.

Bill
I know what you are saying. Many a football team Sqn or Regimental won because I wasent playing. The only time I could bend a ball was when I miscued at snooker I quite enjoyed supporting them though.

My old fella avised me to remain a bacholor all my life and to bring my kids up to be the same.

Mr Bentley sir !
Many thanks for the compliment, i did pass it on to Ronni the "Gorgeous blonde", and she was most appreciative !
And may i say, learning all about you from the guys who knew you, i have no doubt that Mrs Bentley, is someone very special ! ( a lot of what i've been told, has come from Dave Lavelle !)
