Bombing Up The Emperor

Post by SteveR » Tue Dec 17, 2013 3:10 pm

Great photo this if I do say so myself!

Taken by ROBERT FOX (Daily Telegraph at the time) otherwise affectionately known as a fat gutted bar steward.

The T55 was one of the first vehicles we took out and if you look carefully you can still see half the black outer casing from the D U round on the rail above the entry point of the round on the turret of the T55 it was that close!

The photo is signed by the following:

Lt Col Mike Vickery
Capt. J P Palmer (Adjutant and loader and worse brew maker ever!)
Tpr Wooff
Cpl Steve Redgrave (my good self and Gunner extraordinaire).
