Merry Xmas

Post by Bill Bentley » Fri Dec 21, 2018 7:08 am

A very Merry Xmas to one and all,

especially to the committee for all of their hard work !

Most especially to Bob Harrison, who's understanding of things 'internet', which I see as a void, has sorted out our network once again and enabled us to keep in contact with our old comrades. May he live to be a hundred and one, so that we can keep on rabbiting away, not having to 'close our mouths' until we have 'closed our eyes'

Mick,
I have cross posted your Christmas message to the Facebook pages of the Regiment, so your message will get through to a lot of your old mates etc.

I have asked that they begin to reuse this medium, as well as Social Media. We can live in hope, eh !

Have a great Christmas!

Wishing you all a happy....

Please accept, without obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the summer/winter solstice holiday, practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated, recognition of the onset of the generally accepted the calendar year 2019; but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that our country is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wisher.
NOTE: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/him or others and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Wow Rick,

if that's what Down Under does to you, I'm glad I never made it ! I'm already getting concerned about what Arnie will come up with

John, does that mean that we 1) should not make Merry ? 2) that we should sleep through ? or 3) that we should all snuff it ? Perhaps I should have visited Australia, at least they are unambiguous with their greetings :? :? :?
