Bob
Have just read in full the March Past bit from KRH. We have already sorted the problem re being left out of the 3 Regiments involved in the merger. With the eyes and ears we have on the ground(we may be an OAP majority but we can look after ourselves) we can still look after ourselves. Like Tigger I am not to pleased with their interference in this matter.

Final word on this so that everyone understands the situation.

1) It was the Colonel of the Regiment's decision to close down HHQ (N);
2) Steve Penkethman has done a great job keeping it open so far;
3) The press article omitting any reference to 1420H was issued by the Army Press Office;
4) The Lancashire Evening Post printed only what they were given.

During the Freedom Parade in Preston the KRH lads were magnificent. And so too was the spontaneous rendition of 'Sussex by the Sea' by our own lads.

Thanks Bob,

I can find the article, get a tv screen with a play button ... but it does not react (in any of the three links that I have now tried several times each).
The length of the video is also show as 0 - 0 seconds.

Unfortunately this just goes to reinforce my view of modern high tech. It busies us but rarely does what it should first time, the result is most people work for the tools which should in fact work for us and make our lives easier ... but they do not !

Now if I had a Russian hammer and a pack of horse shoe nails I could have built a fence in the time it has taken to try and view a short video. Not moaning at you Bob, your intention is pure, but the systems upon which we depend are at very best unreliable ... not something that you want when things get uncomfortable.

PS I have just seen there have been 395 views on this thread. I wonder how many people have had the same experience as myself and how many of lifes hours have been thrown away chasing a promise that is not fulfilled. Again, not moaning at you Bob or anybody else except those who create things that do not do the job for which they were created.

Could be a location sensitive download Bill. News organisations protect their copyright/licensing rights by not allowing downloads outside of their territory. Hope that it gets put on YouTube.

I got the date mixed up and didn't make it.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the video link I simply right clicked on the link then "Save As " and chose My Pictures file then went to my pictures file clicked on the file open and it was fine . I thought "OUR REGIMENT" were a shining example of the currant lads can still put on a good show as we all did in the past made me feel real proud to be part of the family.
Thanks again Mick
