Jack Kelly in Dorchester Hospital

Post by jc » Tue Jul 15, 2008 10:14 am

Jack Kelly has been admitted to The Prince of Wales Ward at Dorchester Hospital. Jack is a little better and is sitting up now, though he has to use an oxygen mask. Anyone who knows Jack and lives in the Dorchester area is more than welcome to visit him.

As an ex member of 6th troop A Sqn Tidworth and NI, Jack was my troop leader. A hard but fair man, who I have at lot of respect for. Will anyone going to see Jack give him my kindest regards.

All, I have spoken to the ward staff this morning, Jack has been moved out of the side room he was in and is now back on the main word which is a sign that things are picking up for him. (Their words not mine)
I am not allowed to visit his ward at present because I am full of a cold and they have asked me not to come in.
However, I intend to visit him as soon as I can, hopefully by the weekend and I will take a print out of all the comments postted on this tread to show him.
I have arranged for Jack, through the staff to get access to a phone to enable me to speak to him direct, once I have more information I will post it on this tread to keep you all in the picture.

I have told him about the get well wishes posted on here and he is quite chuffed, in fact he was overcome at first, so please keep them coming, if anyone who knows Jack would like to send him a get well card the address is below.

All, I have taken the post's so far to him tonight and some stuff he needed, as I said before I am not allowed in until the weekend so I did not get to see him. After I returned home he rang me and asked to pass on his thanks to you all for your kind comments and get well wishes, he said "it's made an old man very happy".

I will keep you informed on his progress..
