If the Australian government can do so Joe E Brown.
The Australian government announced the other day that Iraqi interpreters working with Aussie troops will be granted a special visa to live in Australia, they and their immediate families. This is because they are in extreme danger doing the job they do.
With the Ghurkas they have actually done the fighting and dying for UK.
Wake up UK Govt and let them in.

Phil,
You are way out of date. That was pre - Whitlam. He was the one sacked by the GG in 1975. Before him they had a 'Whites Only' policy with regard to immigrants. Since then we are like UK in regard to a surplus of do-gooders and PC wielding bleedin hearts.
Anyhow they can't restrict immigrants to only 'good' people or Ric A and I wouldn't be here (sorry Ric).
Also best of luck with your job hunting or machinations to remain where you are.

Dead Right
I sent an email with link to petition on to anyone I know who would agree, and some that may not, but emails cost nothing!
If we all do it, and they do same, and so on ?????

I`ve just joined the site 19th july 2008, and I am seething at the rotten attitude of this Government, I not only had crossed kukris on my shoulder but also had the pleasure of being with them in Singapore and Borneo, and for any Government deny them the right`s to citizenship is absolutly ludicrous.
In the area where I live Britannia(Bacup) they have built a 3storey block of beutiful flats and that is for our "European" neighbours you know that part of "Europe" that covers the Baltic states, and I know who my MP is Janet Anderson the MP for Rossendale.
So lets start putting pressure on these "OUR SERVANTS" and let them know that if they don`t buck up then they had better start checking out the Add`s in the Job Centres, and the gravy train will have reached one of Doctor Beechings Stations.
I`m wound up over this. Signed Gerard"Clampet"Preston.
Officer Commanding 67/15 intake at Catterick you lot are a bloody shambles a complete waste of Government money.

The Gurkha's have won their test case its about time someone with a bit of common sense has made a judgement, now lets have the same judges passing laws stopping all illegal immigrants from settling here. And while they are at it lets scrap the European court of human rights passing laws for this country and get rid of the wicked witch and nonce's 'r' us.

Mr Woods sir !
Funny you should mention the WW and her "human rights" firm, "nonces ' r ' us", 'cause her company records, have recently revealed, since the leaving of that slimeball of a husband of her's, from the power corridors of Number 10, that her company, "nonces ' r ' us", have now taken a downturn in the ambulance-chasing, paedo-protecting, illegal-immigrant-entering, millionsofpoundsforstressconning, you-nameit,we'll-find-a-right-for-it, power-to-the-black-police-officers-association, market !
Oh how the mighty tumble, still a way to go till she's gone all together, but here's hoping !!
Then it's Trooper this, an Trooper that
And Trooper how's yer soul?
But it's "Hawks are bloody 'ero's"
When the tanks began to roll!
