Reunion - Larry Hamblin "Come On Down" !

Post by Brian Moulton » Tue Feb 05, 2008 2:59 pm

For years now I've been trying to get Larry to a reunion but he's always working or can't make it so .....

I'm starting a petition to try and get Larry Hamblin to commit to coming to the Southport reunion.

He can get a flight from Aberdeen to Liverpool, I'll collect him and get him to Southport (I'll even buy him 1 pint).

If you want to see Larry at Southport .... sign this petition. In the meantime I'll keep harrassing him on the phone.
Regards

Brian "Solly" Moulton

Brian

Just remind Larry that when we spoke with him on your phone at the 2007 reunion he told me he would be there for the 2008 event.

If I can make it from China then Aberdeen is a doddle.

Tell him please I expect to see him this year.

Regards

Larry,

I'll be in Tomintoul (skiing at The Lecht) 18th/19th/20th February. Pop down for a pint and I'll get Brian Hunter to pay for a half of it when I see him at the Reunion.

In any case we'd like to see you in Southport.

Tried to get hold of Larry over the weekend but he's working "offshore" and won't be back until a week on Thursday, so If you want him at the reunion and you haven't said you do. DO IT NOW!

Just spoken to Larry and told him that a petition to persuade him to attend the reunion had been signed by hundreds (well eight up to now). His answer was "Send fivers!".

He's back off to the rigs tomorrow (Thursday) and he sends his regards to all.

I'll worry him again in a couple of weeks and see if we can get him down. I'll be printing this thread off to post to him, so if you aint on and would like to remind Larry that he's got an appointment in Southport in April then sign this now.
Regards

Solly, if I am still in time before you send these to Larry. Tell him I want to speak to him about the Farmers daughter from the farm our troop parked up at on excercise in Germany. He will know what I am talking about.
It would be good to see him there.
Stef.
