Re: Stan Rigg

Phil you're right we left Paderborn in July 70, A Sqn got back to UK in the April 71 and we did a N.I. tour in the June and I'm sure I remember Stan from then. I thought he was in Paderborn, but I must be wrong. (Time and Tide)

Re: Stan Rigg

Am I right in saying that if you are listed in a year of the Hawk then that is for the previous year?

Re: Dennis Eadsforth

Sad news, I was lucky enough to be in the same troop with Dennis in Paderborn, Singapore, Tidworth and Northern Ireland, sometime in the same crew. He was gentleman and a friend, Rest in Peace mate and condolences to your family.

Re: Stan Rigg

I always thought Stan joined the regiment at the back end of Paderborn and left in Herford.

Re: Fellow Hawks

Phil, the only time I was in the prison was in the social club. My club in Thornton Cleveleys had a darts/dominos social evening there, good set of lads them prison officers, quite a few of them were ex regulars.

I think Stan joined B Sqn in Paderborn, he may have left around 75.When he was demobbed he used to drink with Pinky Lomas before he died.Last thing I heard he was driving a taxi in Blackpool.

Re: Two very important things this week and ...

Well said Bob, your a long time dead. Mine and the wife's pensions have been affected by exchange rates. So what do we do, we cut our cloth accordingly and still enjoy ourselves. OK can't get to the reunion's when I want but hey ho things change, always the optimist.

Re: Help required....

I've deleted the last paragraph which I copied from N.I Vets Association site, which I thought was correct. Obviously reading Terry's account shows it wasn't.
