Fred was close. The SQN got a lump sum for providing the vehicle and a days manpower. The troop got a yellow suitcase. The remit was "make sure it cannot be identified as a chieftain" and take it to the driver training area. Think we failed on the first part. Anyway we sunk the case of herforder and...

yep remember that dog, alibino white with the meanest red eyes. ken bradley was on site guard one night. left his bed and on return from stag found the dog on his bed. with his bravest and most butchest voice he told it to get down. thats the worst night he ever spent on the floor.

1 Ton Rover

Terry, the forward control 101 was a 1 tonner with a V8 engine. it was issued to SQMS,s i believe. notoriously top heavy (Ginge sawdon put one in a hedge at the washdown in HOHNE). i believe that it was also used for MFC,s and as an ambulance. http://www.winwaed.com/landy/history/fc101.shtml Mick G
