Re: Phil Baldwin RIP

I don't know what to say (Totally gutted) to hear the news about Phil. I do not come on line very often anymore so I apologize for not leaving a message sooner. What can I say about Phil other than he was a friend of over 45 years, larger than life and a genuinely nice guy, shared many a pint with hi...

Re: Steve Beavers

Very sad news, have fond memories of Steve both in the regiment and in civvy street, unfortunately the last time I saw him was in Genevieves night club in Longsight in 1977. His heart was always in the right place.
Condolences to his family.

Re: Gods own team MUFC

Mr Keller, my local pub team could have topped your group so don't go banging on that you are now world beaters, and you struggled in that, you got your usual lucky draw, do you honestly think you are going to win the champs league. how come RIO Druginhand is playing with a rucksack on his back the...

Re: Gods own team MUFC

Not been on for a long time, seems it really is a case of "Deja vu". 27 banging on about glory hunters, southern supporters on trains planes and automobiles heading north to the temple of trophy's, there could be a reason for that? Maybe there families were originally from these parts and as usually...

Re: Dave Blocke

Seeing the news today of Dave's passing fills me with a deep sadness, I new him well from my time in the stables in Herford. A lovely man, very proud of his Kentish roots. I have an abiding memory of being driven at a terrifying speed along the autobahn (Should not of been capable of those speeds?) ...

Re: Mick Greenwood

Served with Mick in Cyprus, a lovely warm generous man with a great sense of humour.
Forced me to listen to his beloved blues in the league cup final while with the UN in Cyprus, apparently I was one of the few with a radio.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

Re: Alan (Mousey) Rowe

So sorry to find that Mousey has passed on, not visited for a while. Every time I do visit these boards we seem to have lost another friend, the world is a sadder place for his passing, a real genuine gentleman and all round nice guy. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Re: A new roof

Hi to you too Billy, remember you well also. Jake was the subject of many legends not least the one involving a legless (literally) "old Lady" wearing a bin bag, propelling herself along on a four wheeled contraption. I think it involved a $10 bet.
I could have dreamed this I suppose
