November 27 has been Lancashire Day since 1996 when it was belatedly created to commemorate the day in 1295 when Lancashire sent its first representatives to Parliament.

Great stuff, but as usual the yanks claim to be heros in every action :x and situation since the ice age. its a wonder they dont claim to have won the battle of hastings. :)

Hi all, Up here in the back woods of the grim north :) . We have more speed earners (sorry cameras) than trees. And more to come. The new ones are average speed cameras, and with them there is no leeway. They whoever they are are making a fortune :x . It would be great if they spent it on the roads ...

one good thing came out of this. The volunteers had a surplus of £1600 left, and they donated this to the Blood bike charity. One of their lads was killed delivering urgent supplies to Lancaster a few weeks ago.
