This story is about one of the tear-a-ways in 1980. As you may know my la...

Re: Mark Field

One problem with that is that, sorry to say, the Civilised World is being out-bred by the Muslims, so our children will have Sharia to conte...

Re: Just an enquiry?

Yippee! this is more like it. Down to earth discussions, creating ideas and putting them forward for all to see and cogitate over. We have a selection of all sides of the spectrum. I am glad to see that whatever side you are all on, servicemen and women, and veterans are always at the forefront of y...

Re: Just an enquiry?

Hi Yall, I too look in every day. My opinion is that Age is simply a number and that you are as old as you imagine you are. I and the wife are in a retirement village and I volunteer (I know NEVER volunteer) and drive what is called the 'Junibug', a 6 seater Golf Buggy. I drive around the village pi...

Re: the last post

Bodge, heard the story before and it is a very poignant one. There is however some controversy about it being found in the dead soldiers pocket. Might add that as far as I know its only the Yanks who are debating its origins. Still a very moving piece.

Re: The state of Germany and civilization.

Hi Yall,
What about an Itexit? If all do it, this will be followed, hopefully, by an Isexit or a Musexit, as they all flee back to the s...holes from whence they came.

Re: Living History !

The following might be remembered by some of the 'Old Sweats' who were in Benghazi, and it involves the Regiment directly. Some interesting events which happened to me were; during the month of Ramadan (Muslim Holy period, during which all Muslims fast during during daylight and feast and make merry...

Re: Living History !

Hi All Although this is not a segment of my book relating to the 14/20H, this is a teaser from the book. I will however paste a segment of my time in the Regiment in the next few days. It happened as follows: 3 RUC constables and I were enjoying a quiet break in a night of patrolling, and were sitti...
