Hi Bob,
Very well done and richly deserved, keep up your great work. So sad that Drac didn't make it to see his.

Re: Tercentenary Weekend

I noticed her apt attire too. Good to see Princess Anne wearing her true colours! :D I just wish everyone remembered KRHs blue and primrose heritage. Maybe she did too ha! Ha!

Re: Matt Mcnulty

Morning Mac ! Have just had a very relaxing weekend, with a few old cask ales and playing back "Garrows Law" which I downloaded from the "Drama" channel on my Virgin Tivo box ! Got to say, Your Matt makes a rotten liar in court, but you can't fault his acting, superb ! Please pass on my best wishes ...

Re: Alf Angel RIP

So sad to hear another legend has gone to that great parade ground in the sky. My thoughts go out to all his family. I remember the theatrical production of Oliver! in Hohne when my mum played Mrs Bumble and Alf Angel played a brilliant Bill Sykes. I went to every rehersal and must have watched his ...

Re: new beer

How many pints is that Bob ? EDIT - Just had a look on't'tinternet and discovered that a cubit is not a volume measurement but a measurement of length based on forearm length. So would need to know not only the length, but also breadth and depth of the hull. Going to see if I can find some old plans...

Re: new beer

Sent a chill down me spine that did,
not the thought of having to bail the boat out by drinking every drop then hosing the excess over the sides but the thought of getting me trunk trapped between the hull and the iceberg. Are you sure it wasn't the 'tight panic'

Re: Birthday Bob

A belated happy birthday to you Bob. I've just had a mail from another friend who is also 74 and he and his wife have just been away skiing in France, so I'm guessing that 1942 was a good vintage year. It was certainly a turning point in history.
