Hi John yep your right a helicopter arrived out of the blue up in the hills near Kyrenia a guy got out asked for Sgt Burgess and said you wife has been taken into BMH seriously ill. At the time she was 8 mths pregnant. I arrive Dekelia BMH met by the ward sister who explained she was about to go in the operating theatre she had a Kidney problem. I asked about the baby the surgeon came out and said to my amazement that there could be complications whilst removing the kidney if it came to it who should be saved Marion or the unborn baby. I could not believe this Army surgeon would ask such a question naturally I said my wife for Christ sake. Anyway he did a marvellous job and both survived six weeks later Marion was in Larnerka felt funny a local Turkish Taxi Dvr took her to BMH and we had a little lad again I was up the pan handle with Sammy and the troop,
Marion survived like a true army wife and still with me 54 years later on one kidney !!!!
Yes I was in BMH John sorry to bang on Mate.

I can assure you we are on the board, maybe not as often as we should be but we are here.

We are monitoring all the platforms available now to us in this land of binary.

The passing of Phil was a huge loss to us on many levels, great library of knowledge and a really great friend.

How about writing something interesting that people can respond to. I've tried all sorts: People, animals gardening, insects and my usual 'be prepared' subjects, from water to gold. The loyal amongst you reply most of the time but at the end of the day it's barely a good hand full, oh where are the 600 ?

Bill,

I am on the point of not submitting anymore to topics.

After your last I spent 2 hours writing a long piece in reply. After correcting all the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors I pressed the Submit button and waited for it to appear on the site. I give up. I will continue toread your fascinating submissions but....

Waiting for what to appear on the site Arnie? Once you submit your post it will immediately appear, there is no one here to allow a post to appear or not if you get my drift?

Hi Arnie,

if you spend too long writing you get logged off and so your submission can't land as it were. If writing more than just a few lines, do it elsewhere, 'word' or what ever you have, then copy and paste it into the 'post a reply'. Int Corps, are you sure it wasn't the Pie and Ear Corps .

I know, I know, in your day they learned to read smoke signals
