TONY HORROCKS ( Boss Hogg ) FUNERAL UPDATE...

Just returned from Tony's Funeral, where a quick headcount showed there to be in excess of Eighty Members of the Regiment and their wives in attendance.

The Hearse arrived at the church with the Regimental Flag Draped on the Casket, and a Red Forage Cap on the top !

The Funeral Director asked for Bearers, and a number of members stepped up to the Task. The Regiment was brought to attention, and we clapped the Casket as it passed between us into the church, where the service was held.

The Hearse then made its way to the Cemetery in Atherton, with the Casket still Draped in the Regimental Flag and the Red Hat on top !

At the Cemetery the Funeral Director again asked for bearers, and again Members stepped up to the Task.

The hat and Flag were removed from the Casket, and commitment prayers were said.

Then, as the Casket was being lowered to rest, Darryl Cartwright, sounded the Last Post !

Afterwards we retired to a social club, and refreshments, the Family, supplied, and proposed a toast to Tony, and thanked everyone for their attendance.

The Family were moved by the number of Hawks attending, and asked that their thanks be passed on to you all.
