RiP Colonel,

odd that everybody knew him as Col. Dan. Can't think of many C.O.'s who, even the 3 year Tpr's knew the first name of. Perhaps because nobody could spell his surname. Or, is there another reason ?

Condolences to your loved ones.

A true gentleman and great leader. Had many glasses of whiskey I mean cups of coffee with him in the back of command vehicles doing radio stags. Sir I salute you thanks for all you have done for the 14/20 Kings Hussars. Condolences to your family.

A very sad loss. He was a fine officer, an exceptional C.O., and a gentleman to boot. He served the Regiment well and will be remembered for his name (which only a few could spell correctly) and his fairness and understanding. My condolences to his wife and son.
