We are very sorry to hear of the passing of John Macgregor. During his many years of service within the Regiment, he easily established a sound reputation for his loyalty as a Hawk, his well respected attitude as a fair disaplinarian , and the "easy access way " in which he provided sound advice to all ranks within the Regiment.
Our sincere condolences to his family.
RIP JOHN

Another character lost. Jeannette and I used to spend some time chatting with John and his late wife at the Preston (Barton Grange) reunions. They were very pleasant company and I'm sure John will be missed by many. John was a real Hawk and fought the 14th/20th corner within the KRH hierarchy with passion.

Condolences to his family and friends.

I was saddened to hear about Jock Macgregor - one of the Regiment's stalwarts. He was one of those people whose name seemed to linger in the Regiment all the time, whether he was there or not. He had a wealth of experience and was not slow at giving you that 'fatherly' advice when he thought you needed it.

My condolences to his family.

R.I.P. Jock

Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of John McGregor.

I spent a number of years with John, and Bill Williams also sadly deceased, both on the ranges, and in competition at Bisley throughout my years in the Regiment.

John was a Hawk, through and through.

Proud to have known the pair of them, and grateful for them taking me under their wings, from a very early age, when they saw the potential in my passion for shooting, and kept me in the Regimental Team for around 10 years.

He loved to talk shooting.

Rest in peace old Friend

Pete Farrell
