How much would I get to spend on new players, Redknapp asks FA

Harry Redknapp, the bookmakers’ favourite to take over the position of England manager following the resignation of Fabio Capello, has asked the FA to confirm how much money he will be given to spend on new players if he takes the job.

Redknapp confirmed he would be interested in bringing in a number of new players, with Welshman Gareth Bale, Dutchman Rafael van der Vaart and as many Spanish or Brazilian sounding players as possible rumoured to be at the top of his childishly written wish list.

The current Spurs manager has received backing from current England internationals Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and a mystery striker who referred to himself as Emilio Heskinho

“The problem with England is that their transfer policy consists entirely of getting in English players, which is fine, but if you want to compete on the World stage then you need a little bit extra,” Redknapp told reporters at a press conference held through an open car window.

“I would be looking for the FA to confirm that they would give me the vast amounts of money that I would need to bring in the players that would make England competitive.”

Former England players Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker have also backed Redknapp to fill the vacant managerial role, claiming he has the required experience and skills to take the national side forward.

“Harry has got all the attributes necessary to be a successful manager,” said Shearer.

“He’s got a pre-existing heart condition and involvement in suspect financial dealings before he even starts the job.”

“If anyone can take on an impossible role that will ultimately end up with their reputation laying in tatters, then Harry can.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Harry Redknapp’s relief at being cleared of tax evasion charges has been tempered by the disappointment that he will miss out on basic reading and writing classes in prison.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager confessed he can’t spell and writes like a two-year-old, claiming he never puts pen to paper and is “the most disorganised person in the world”.

Redknapp – who is hotly tipped to take over from Fabio Capello as England boss – is in good company in football.

Only 24% of Premier League players can write their own name unassisted.

There’s is a world in which Joey Barton is on a par with Plato.

Mr Salkeld sir !
So North Londons "Abramovitch wannabee" has got rid of 'arry then ??
Well i've gotta say here and now, with "The Fat Spanish Waiter" Benetez
in the running for the job, it's gonna be a long season for you's next year !!
And with no European, let alone Champions league qualification at the end of it !
And not being a cynical type chap, is it coincidence, or just me, that this "sacking"
though i'm not totally convinced that thats the full story, comes a day after Chelsea appoint De Fatteo
full time ??? Perhaps Danny "Abramovitch junior" Levy, feared he'd move straight into the Chelsea job ???
Bad move on Spurs part Mr Salkeld, theres no-one on the market who'll match his achievements !
Apparantly David Moyes is also in the running, be a bloody fool to go work for Levy instead of Kenwright
Mr Baldwin, Mr Simper sir's !
Party time at the "Degenerates" ??
Dawn of a new revival in North London ???
Then it's Trooper this, an Trooper that

And Trooper how's yer soul?

But it's "Hawks are bloody 'ero's"

When the tanks began to roll!

Mr. Kellar, thankyou for that. i think arry cocked up by not telling Levy one way or the other if he was going or staying. Lots of remarks by arry my dream job, i cant refuse if was on the table, but no commitment to super spurs. Spurs then put another manager in the wings (Moyles is my guess) now they cant go back.

27, once again you are on top form.

Ok Mr Kellar change of bet £20 that super spurs are higher up in the league than Man U at the end of the season.

Same rules apply yes or no.

Mr Salkeld sir !
Bring it on !
Lets really make it interesting and have a minimum 10point gap as well ????
Anything less then 10pts and you win ???
And thats not a reflection on how well United will do, but more how bad AVB is !!!
