Mick

I last spoke with George at least two years ago. At the time he was planning on selling up in Norwich and moving out to Germany. From his current Skype profile, looks like he did (Richard Washington - Helferskirchen, Westerwald, Germany).

His intention was to set up a business there with a mate who already lived over there. They were going to organise high speed motorcycle runs on the Autobahn for biker nuts.

Not seen his presence on Skype for some time, but his profile is still there, and seems to kept fairly up to date.

Hope your well Mick
Regards

Weird thing but George has just purchased a Noah's Arc tie via our Online Shop!

I've asked if I can release his email address / phone number, but so far no reply - I've now emailed him inviting him to Register and speak to us, watch this space!

Just seen that Solly. In fact George replied immediately to my email and says that he's happy for his details to be given out. You can of course send a PM or E-Mail to George using the Forum tools. :)

Just to correct something I said in an earlier post. I was wrong when I said that George and his mate were going to be organising "high speed runs on the Autobahn for biker nuts". What I should have said that they were going to organise runs for touring bikers, taking the hard work out of planning a biking holiday in Germany. I had got a wrong idea in my head when I spoke to George more than a couple of years ago, and I think a mention of speed limits on the Autobahns was briefly touched upon.

Sorry George.

Hi Sol, Just a few thoughts about George Washington, I can imagine him organising speed runs on the autobahn, cos I remember when he used to drive the lads to the beach in Benghazi in the duty 3 tonner, we were always lucky to get there and back due to the breakneck speed he used to drive at, also I remember being on a sailing dinghy on the Mona See just me and George, him showing how to sail "close to the wind" when oops over we went, I can remember my fags going floating past, we managed to right he capsize boat no problem, luckily we could both swim as we were in the middle of the lake!! (The one the Dam Busters blew a big hole in>.) Those were the days eh...

Hi Bob
I got in trouble with the bosun of the army yacht club on the Mohne sea during a troop weekend we had there when in Hohne. They have a club rule that you come in on the gib sail with the main sail lowerd I forgot and came in on the main sail turned into the wind and stopped dead next to the hard using the skills that Geof Bingham taught me when I took my C Helm in Hong Kong Gorden Hard Yacht club. Boy was he angry I had to scrape and grovel before he would let me take a dingy out again.
