Arnie,

I'm not Rick I know and he might be able to help you better than I can, but here's a try.

In banking terms there is a difference between a 'Transfer' and a 'Payment'. A transfer is, as you describe, a way to transfer between accounts. A Payment is what you need to find and you should then be invited to either pay a Person or pay a Business. Because 'Noahs Arc' isn't a 'business' that the bank will recognise, it should then ask you to enter payment details manually (using Swift / IBAN and the account details).

This all assumes that you are registered to make International Payments from your account.

Hi Arnie,

Not sure I can add any more to what Bob has said, I transferred cash from an HSBC account that I have in the UK, I bank here with ANZ and they have an option for international transactions but I have never been successful using that!
If you have family in the UK perhaps they can help out?

I'm happy to receive cheques so, if you're supporting the cause and can't make online payments please send an email and request my address details if you don't have them. Thanks. hussar1420@gmail.com

...or, you could walk into your bank and request a Bank Giro Credit using the Noahs Arc account details shown in an earlier thread.

Am reading this thread on iPhone, so may have missed something - if so, apologies, but I can't see what it is that is being proposed. Like most correspondents, I would be happy to contribute to a 14/20KH memorial. Is there a a proposal with a cost attached?

Ian,

This is a lengthy topic beginning here: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3354

To get an idea of the proposal however, this should explain: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3354&start=60#p36202

The Army Air Corps have just dedicated the Corps Memorial at the Arboretum, but it was done with minimal notice to the Veterans, and was mainly an invited guest event (including some bereaved families) but this has not gone down well with the 'old boys' who were virtually unrepresented at the service. Whatever the size or nature of the 14th/20th memorial, lets make sure it's open to as many as possible to attend.
