Welcome to Paul (Fred) Baker

Postby Bob_H » Sat Mar 07, 2015 8:16 am

Paul Baker, often going by the name of Fred, has joined the Committee of Noah's Arc.

We are delighted with the appointment and extend a very warm welcome. Paul brings some youth (compared to most of us) which provides Noah's Arc with a basis for being taken forward for many years to come.
Owfen born and Warburtons bred

Welcome Paul. I knew your Dad - he was a great bloke and one of the best. I have an article on him in the Sixth Sense magazine with Princess Anne somewhere in my vast archive collection. Once I have found it Paul I will copy it for you and send you the original.
Kind regards
Peter

I don't do much of this patting on the back stuff, birthday greetings, or even 'last post' comments for people who I did not know, or like, it's just not me. On this occassion though I'll make an exception and extend a welcome to Paul, for purely selfish reasons: If we members do not extend a welcome to the younger generation ... who will do all of the work for us when we can no longer do it for ourselves ? How will people even learn about us in 10 or 20 or a hundred years if we, during our lifetime, have not worked to ensure that future interest ? I note that Paul has already been active regarding setting up the '14/20th History Website' and by looking into the maintainence of the columbarium and for this I thank him and welcome him.
