Paul,

This one (based in Leicester) appears (from the photographs) to be in better condition than the one you have:

That is very nice, not sure I can justify spending £500- of Noah's ARC money on another Drum mind, I would like to, but I am not sure that is the right thing to do?

I phoned them about it today Bob and they say they can not find it and think it may have been sold and not removed from their website. They are looking to see if they can locate it lol

So I spent ages emailing back and forth last night trying to purchase this drum and we came up with a price we were both happy with. I agreed to phone him first thing this morning, which I did only to be told they are unable to find it, it may have been sold at a previous show? I find it funny that he would go into all this trouble and agree on a price only to pull it from under me just as quickly.

I think somebody up'd my bid and he has gone back on that deal - the site now says it is SOLD so I am now gutted. If he is telling the truth and he has just sold it previously he is probably not that good a storekeeper I'd say!! All day, what a waste of my time.

I can but hope he is telling the truth and he finds it somewhere hidden?? Doubtful.

Apart from it being, a completely different Drum, the Noah's ARC One is painted in a very similar fashion, although the paintwork, and Drum itself, have sustained substantial damage

I wanted this one for me, well for now. Sadly I think he took a better offer he probably got today and is not telling me so.

After my time 1951- 1964. Our side drums were rope tension not rod, and "Gulf" battle Honour? :D
