Re: Bill Bentley

Bill, after 20 years on your smallholding selling up and moving onto something different must have been a very difficult decision to make. However from what little I know of you, you will have considered all the pros and cons and made what you both is the right decision. But it still though takes gu...

Re: Yes! I am still alive.

Bill, why shocked and horrified? never thought of my self as being to good to sin, I'm just as bad as another person, probably worse than most .

Re: Yes! I am still alive.

Whenever we were on exercise in Bengahsi or Tripoli we would catch a scorpion, cut the tail off and put it on the face of any one that was having a nap, we all knew about it but it still scared the life out of you when it happens to you, especially if you had just had a few Tennents. By the way afte...

Re: 11 November

Hi Bill, I agree with you, it is a known fact that there large numbers of ex service men/women now homeless, living on the streets. These poor souls gave their all for this country and returned so damaged that they cannot fit back into civilian life. They fall out with family and friends, lose conta...

11 November

Just couldn't let today go by with thinking of good friends and mates from our regiment that paid the ultimate price.
May they always be honoured for the sacrifice that they gave just doing their duty for Queen and country. I will always be proud to have been able to call them friends.

John
Wonderful photos, many thanks, true memories that last forever, good to be reminded of some close friends and times. Not sure if it is the website or my computer but I cannot see any of the replies to the photos?

Re: Electric SHOCK

One question that was asked on a previous thread was, if all cars in the uk were to run on electric, how much would it cost to improve the electrical supply network to enable them all to recharge every day? currently our network simply cannot supply the electricity needed. How much non green gas/coa...

Re: Good investment

As one who has the ability to kill off anything that is green(even my lawn has turned to moss) I admire and must admit to being envious of you both. I once had a veg plot at the quarter at Tidworth, spent time digging and planting, nothing ambitious just few rows of Lettice and radish and half a doz...
